This notice explains which personal data the Manlio Selis World Tournament website processes, why and for how long, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
1. Data controller
Organizzazione del Torneo Mondiale Manlio Selis
Email: torneoselis@gmail.com
2. What data we process
Browsing data
The servers hosting the website automatically log some technical data for each request (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type). This is needed to run and protect the website; it is managed by the hosting provider and deleted according to its technical retention periods.
Anonymous visit statistics
To know how many people visit the website and which pages they read, we use our own statistics system, without cookies and without external services. We record the page visited, the referring website (domain only, e.g. google.com), the device type (phone, tablet or computer) and the language of the site. Your IP address is not stored: it is only used to compute an anonymous code that changes every day, in order to count unique visitors. This data cannot be used to identify you. It is kept for 13 months.
Data you send us
If you email us, we use your address and your message only to reply to you.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter we store your email address and chosen language, and send you an email to confirm (without confirmation you receive nothing). We use the address only to send you tournament news, a few times a year. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email: the address is then kept marked as "unsubscribed" only so that we never write to you again. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Emails are sent from the website's server. Our emails contain no tracking pixels and no tracked links: we do not record whether or when you open an email or what you click, and the images are the same for every subscriber.
Restricted area
For the organisers who manage the website we process name, email, password (stored encrypted) and a log of the changes made, for the security of the admin panel.
Content from other websites (YouTube and Google Maps)
Some pages can show YouTube videos and Google Maps. This content is loaded only with your consent (from the banner or the button next to the content). When it loads, Google receives your IP address and may use its own cookies under its privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Photos and players' names
Match photos, team names and squads are published to tell the story of the tournament, based on the authorisations collected by the participating clubs, including for players under 18. If you are a parent, a player or a club and want a photo or data removed, write to us and we will remove it as soon as possible.
Data sent by participating teams
Each participating club can fill in its own profile through a private link: crest and photos, staff, squad (first and last name, number, position and year of birth) and a contact person with phone and email. Only names, numbers, positions, staff and images appear on the website, after the organisers have checked them. The year of birth (used to check the age category) and the contact details remain reserved to the organisers and are used only to manage participation in the tournament.
3. Why we process data
- Running and protecting the website: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Anonymous statistics to improve the website: legitimate interest; the data is anonymous.
- Replying to your requests and managing team participation: steps taken at your request and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
- Showing third-party videos and maps: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
- Telling the story of the tournament with photos and results: legitimate interest and authorisations collected by the clubs (Art. 6(1)(a) and (f)).
4. Who receives the data
Data is processed by the tournament organisers and by the hosting provider, acting as data processor. Only if you choose to view videos or maps does the necessary technical data reach Google (YouTube, Google Maps), which may transfer it to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We never sell or share data with anyone else.
5. How long we keep it
Statistics: 13 months. Emails: as long as needed to handle your request. Admin panel data: while the account is active. Tournament photos and content: kept in the tournament's historical archive unless removal is requested.
6. Your rights
At any time you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, and withdraw any consent given (Arts. 15-22 GDPR), by writing to torneoselis@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
7. Cookies
